In August I got to take my adventuring, and my camera East for a canoe trip in Ontario's lake country. It was a great trip with great people.

| We were paddling around the lake exploring and pumping water, when suddenly the setting sun cast this incredible light across the moody sky. It only lasted a moment and was gone. |

| Being a coastal girl, I never had a true appreciation for lake fish. But this fresh caught trout roasted over the fire was unbelievable. |

| And then the stars put on a show. This picture is not particularly sharp as I do not have an off camera shutter release and had to hold my finger on the shutter release for a minute and a half. This is the most successful night sky photo I have taken to date though. Time to invest in a shutter release. |
