I had the privilege of taking a pretty unique trip to the Tatchu Peninsula last June. Although the peninsula is a part of Vancouver Island, it is only accessible by boat or float plane. I will make a big post about the whole adventure once I have worked my way through all of the photos. I just wanted to share this little taster to start it off though. This shot was taken shortly after a particularly treacherous surge channel crossing with the added threat of the encroaching tide. With shaky post-surge channel legs, I watched Jennifer cross the treacherously slippery green slime, and pondered my fate... We made it, and our reward was a sun soaked nap in a beautiful oceanside meadow full of wild flowers and bumbling bees.
