Mumma Fern

The Mumma of the adorable Chihuahua puppies I have been sharing is also looking for a family to call her own.  She is a very sweet girl, and she does great around the big dogs. If you would like to add Fern to your family you can apply to adopt her from the Victoria BCSPCA.

Chihuahua Puppies

The latest foster litter came in triple x-small.  They are a threesome of tiny Chihuahuas!  Myself and the foster Mumma's, being the big-dog people that we are, were so surprised at just how much we enjoy these extra-little critters.  They are just so joyful and enthusiastic, and all they want to do is shower you with tiny little kisses.  There will be much more to come on these munchkins, who will be available for adoption through the BCSPCA Victoria Branch, but I just couldn't go to bed without sharing these special Spring themed shots.

Sprout - Part II

I'm happy to say this beautiful girl will be going to her new family this week.  She is but one of many dogs and puppies out there looking for a family to call their own.  If you're thinking of adding a furry family member to your pack, please check with your local shelters and rescues (like Broken Promises, where Sprout was fostered). Adopt, don't shop.

Sprout

I've got more pictures to finish editing from today's shoot with little Sprout, but I just wanted to share one for tonight.

Cape Scott Beach Adventure

Back in November I hiked to Cape Scott Light Station with a small group of friends.  I posted pictures from the hike to the station in early December.  This post contains the photos I took on the full day we spent up at the station.  Todd and Harvey, the lighthouse keepers, took us on a tour of some of the beaches and sea caves that surround the light station. It was an incredible day.

There is a lot of stuff on the beaches from the Tsunami in Japan

These icicles are formed from ground water, the orange colour is from minerals picked up along the way.

Can you spot the animal forms?

Sprout the Foster Puppy

I got to meet Sprout, the latest foster pup, on Sunday.  She is approximately eight weeks old, and is a pit bull type dog.  She spent the first half of my visit passed out in my lap, and the second half frolicking in the yard.  She is so sweet and friendly and confident. She will soon be available for adoption through Broken Promises.

Marble Range Moments

As we sat pumping water from a tiny stream in a small ridge at the top of the range, we looked up the sides towards the sun, and watched the white fluffy fireweed seeds illuminated by the sun.

Later that day, we hiked down the mountain in the glow of the setting sun.

The next day, we watched the soft colours of the sun set from the car deck of the ferry on the last leg of the trip home.
