Springing Forward

Since we moved into our house late last summer, we still haven't identified everything in our yard.  This spring the yard has been abundant with surprises, including the mystery tree that has burst out in beautiful white blossoms.  We are hoping for some sort of fruit, but that mystery will have to wait.  For now, we're enjoying the beautiful blossoms and the petals snowing down when the wind picks up.

Some of the bulbs my Mum and I planted in the fall have been popping up too.

I shot this HDR of Esquimalt Lagoon, hand held, so it's not super sharp... but I think it's still pretty neat. 

The 7 Month Steve

Our little man is getting bigger by the day, and as he grows, so does his personality.  Here's a few shots of him enjoying his favorite 'bed'.  I put bed in quotes, because it is the outer ring of a donut bed I made for him.  When the cushion was in the middle, he barely slept in it.  But without the center, it's his favorite spot to sleep.  He's in it right now, with his warm little paws resting on my arm.

I worry that he is going to outgrow it soon.  But for now it's the perfect fit.
